À propos de cet audio

Ken finds himself trapped in a strange world while asleep in a coma. Different from his endless dreams, he awakens inside a next-generation MMO.

In desperation, this game's governing AI somehow dragged him into this world. It offers Ken a bargain: it will grant him an escape from his coma, but he must improve the game's content in exchange.

With seemingly no downsides, Ken eagerly accepts the offer. Things might not be as simple as he initially thought, though.

Will he be able to help the beleaguered NPCs provide better side quests while evading the detection of the scientists behind the project? Only time will tell, but first, he must face his biggest challenge: reaching level 2.

Litrpg, and dungeon core style books are my favourite genre lately. This one follows the “stuck in a game” general concept but allows our main character to play both sides of the coin, both player and guiding the backend of the game. It’s fun and silly.
But I didn’t see any point to the story. The individual events were fun and decently written enough. There just was a lack of any main driving force. Yes we wanted to ‘improve the game” but there was no deadline or consequence for potential failure. The risk of being discovered didn’t feel like a real risk at all. Some of the big bad events at the end kinda came out of left field. The ones that were foreshadowed only seemed like a minor inconvenience.
Don’t think I’ll continue the series. It was good enough but didn’t engage me.

It was super clean though. No swearing. Completely skipped over any of the baby making. VERY PG, Very family friendly. My teens / pre-teens might like it.

No real plot to the story, but a fun listen

Author "Kos Play" offers a story that features an array of plot matrices: a low (NPC-level) start with quest-based skill/level advancement with Loot + XP, party-structured Adventuring, Dungeon-Core planning + town-building, HP + Mana -based game mechanics, and intuitive game-sheet reasoning & updates. Kos delivers each with capable skill.
Less fortunately, the metagame reasoning for MC 'Ken/Kendra' being trapped in the game - consciousness awakening while in a coma IRL - makes little sense.. and body functions like getting hungry/eating, using the bathroom, and kissing/mating are bafflingly emphasized.

As to presentation, Andrew Tell reads the book with admirable diction, timbre, cadence, and tone. I found a couple of voice interpretations disappointingly cartoonish.. but his reading is "above-average" overall.

Altogether, 'Eternity's Bargain - Volume 1' merits 8.5 stars out of 10. It's occasionally subpar.. but offers a little bit of everything for any LitRPG fan. I am pleased to have found the book on the 'Plus' menu, because spending a Credit on it wouldn't be crazy.

A Nice Variety of GameLit Conventions

I listen to books each day. Lately, they have been less than impressive. However, this story and its characters held my attention and developed in interesting and sometimes unpredictable ways. The final resolution was good, but abrupt. Even though it all fits, I felt like there were pieces missing, perhaps lacking a final confrontation with the nobles during the last battle of the somewhat flat end to the battle with gods and world bosses.

Stil, a solid and enjoyable tale of a man and his coma.

Great characters and a solid story

it's not super exciting or thrilling with plot twists or anything. But the characters are likable and relatable. although there isn't really any major stakes it's still interesting to see how the mc acts in the scenario he ends up in.

a very chill listen
