I was at first a bit concerned about the title and if this book would be for me. About an hour in, I could not stop listening. This was a wonderful, entertaining, moving book. You will learn so much.

I really enjoyed listening to the author read his book. He is earnest and intelligent. The book and story within was very interesting and easy to digest.

Great writing and narration

John's style makes this book -- heavy at time, at others downright depressing -- somehow enjoyable. I'm too young (most everyone in the developed world is) to have an idea of what a society familiar with the regular struggle of TB is. However, John shows us the lingering anachronisms, and the modern influences. And he shows us a world that should not exist, here only by our societies failure to respond. That's not the world I want to live in, and reminds me of the depression that accompanies caring about the environment, and fighting for real changes we could be making if we cared.
I would 100% recommend this book, even if you don't care about the topic. It's short, cleverly written, and worth pondering

John Green wrote a book about something incredibly devastating in a very understandable and moving way. Everything is Tuberculosis will convince you that everything IS tuberculosis and why that matters. This is an excellent read and I highly recommend it. Polo.

Heartbreaking and empowering

Author’s passion and moral commitment to draw attention to this still incredibly deadly disease was riveting. 20 years ago, as a non-tenured professor at an elite university, I contracted TB from a series of interviews with people living in a homeless encampment nearby campus. I was keenly aware that my socioeconomic privilege would allow me to be successfully treated, as I was, but the fear of losing my job and stigma from formally uneducated family was a tiny taste of the pain of such a diagnosis in places like Sierra Leone. Henry’s trust, kindness and perseverance humbled me as I reflect on that upsetting time in my life. Thanks to John Greene for using his megaphone for moral action. Since my own diagnosis, I have tried to use my smaller one as a social determinants of health professor and teaching of the true cause of most premature deaths- devastatingly simple bad luck of just being born poor. I didn’t know much about TB at the time of my own experience. It am grateful for this illuminating and moving journey; it’s both a historical snapshot of this non-random killer intertwined with one young man’s life scarred and shaped by TB.
