I loved it.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved it. The story was well written & even though I'm not a young adult, I was still engaged enough to listen to the whe series. The narrator also did a great job. very easy to listen to.

Good series but no growth

I enjoyed this series, especially the first 3 books, but admit to being glad it ended at book 4 as I don't know if I would have continued to read it after that. In the 4 years that passed for Brielle Atwater I saw no growth. She was supposed to be this great fighter yet waited for her blade to tell what moves to make to take out the enemy. My biggest annoyance though was I grew so tired of hearing how she was always saying "oh yeah I forgot" Geez she even forgot she was fighting Lucifer at one point. really, you forgot the whole point of the series? I found myself rolling my eyes at her by this last book. Thankfully this didn't start to bug me until this last book and I enjoyed listening to the first 3 books. Would love to know more about the human school Grace was running and how everybody else fares after the end of this book. Vanessa Moyen is a new narrator for me, and I am glad to have listened to this series because of her. She does a fantastic job and really brought the story to life. I will be looking for more books read by her. All in all it was a good series and I enjoyed it once I was able to get past Brielle's forgetfulness.

Amazing end to a series

This was quite the series to listen to. It had twists and turns and happy and sad moments (alot of them) we learned some life lessons and felt proud for the characters. I'm sad it's over and would love a years later book to see where they are and what they're doing now. All in all a great series that kept me with rapt attention.

A great end to the series

I loved this book. It was a great end to the series. The bonus is that there was a note from the author, at the end of the book, that said she would be writing two spin off series'. Fallen Academy: Year Four gave me all the feels. It had me all stressed out at times, emotional other times, and giddy happy other times. My emotions went through the wringer. One of my favorite things was that Brielle and Lincoln were married in this book and it was so cute to see them as husband and wife. I also loved that the 4 archangels were more directly involved in things that they had tried to stay back from in previous books. I also really loved getting to know Emberly and am looking forward to her being the focus of a spin off series. I love all of these characters and am sad to see the series end. I highly recommend these books. They were really fun and captivating. Audible: The narrator was great. She was really believable as the main character and had good voices for the other characters. Her tone, inflections, and emotion matched exactly what was happening at the time. I recommend this as an audiobook.

Best series!

Leia stone did it again! I loved the Ash series and this was even better! Great narrator choice as well! Seriously the story was spot on, characters were perfect, laughed and cried! My only issue is that the books are not long enough or I want more of this series! Great job Leia! Keep up the amazing work!

Amazing Series!

From book 1 to book 4, this series has everything that makes an excellent read! I was completely riveted and could not wait to get the next book! I would love to see more about what happens with Briel, Lincoln and the baby!

A YA book with great action

Vanessa is easily my favorite narrator. I’ve read about 50 YA fantasy books this year and this one tops the list. The author has such a skill with action scenes and I am thrilled this wasn’t just another cheesy series. I heard a rumor there are some spin off series coming and if that’s true... I can’t waif!

An Exceptionally Okay Series

This series has such an interesting premise, the battle of Heaven and Hell on Earth, yet it feels like a softcore pornographic fanfiction. Every book lacks interesting plot points; every major event is predictable from at least two chapters away. The system of magical powers endowed to humans by the holy and unholy is as dull as I could imagine; limited possibilities and basically no area of unknown after the first few chapters of the entire series. The characters are enjoyable but mostly flat. Throughout the series, probably 1/8th of it is dedicated to how sexy/creepy each man she encounters is, in a droning throb of background noise. The only reason I finished the series is a desire for closure, but I would never recommend this to anyone because it doesn't feel like the passionate work of a professional author, rather like the first series of a 16-20 year old aspiring author.

Enjoyed the series

I’m writing for the whole series including Lincoln’s novella. I enjoyed this lighthearted series. Each book got better. The characters are well defined and likable. There are high stakes to overcome. The end is good.
