À propos de cet audio
One of the greatest responsibilities all Christian parents have is to be disciple makers in their homes.
Discipling your family can feel like an intimidating task, but it doesn’t need to be overwhelming or complicated. With a simple plan in place, discipleship is something every parent can do.
Pastors Matt Chandler and Adam Griffin have made it their mission to help you develop a sustainable rhythm of gospel-centered discipleship focused in three key areas: time, moments, and milestones. Filled with suggestions, sample plans, and Scripture references, this book begins with the end in mind - equipping you to create a unique plan for your family as you raise your children in the love and fear of the Lord.

One of the most valuable aspects of the journey was how the insights came not only from the book itself but also from the shared reflections and discussions within our group. Together, we discovered a deeper understanding of what it means to parent with grace and purpose.
A central theme that truly resonated with us was the emphasis on “no condemnation in Christ Jesus” as parents. This reminder lifted a heavy burden of guilt and fear, replacing it with freedom to guide our children while relying on God’s grace. Parenting often comes with feelings of inadequacy, but this focus allowed us to see that mistakes are not the final word—Christ’s love and forgiveness are.
Equally meaningful was the book’s encouragement to mark moments and milestones in our lives. Our group discussed how celebrating these moments—big or small—helps children build spiritual memories that anchor them in faith. Whether it is acknowledging an answered prayer, a baptism, or a family challenge overcome, these markers become opportunities to point our children to God’s presence in our story.
Perhaps the most practical takeaway was the idea of using these lessons to create discipleship moments in our homes. The book and our conversations prompted us to be more intentional about weaving spiritual guidance into everyday life: bedtime prayers that reflect on the day, conversations at the dinner table, or simple gestures of gratitude that demonstrate God’s faithfulness to our children.
Reading this book in community allowed us to see parenting through the lens of both Scripture and shared experience. It reminded us that we are not alone, that God’s grace is sufficient, and that each home can become a place of ongoing discipleship, one moment at a time.
