So I am early 50's female and have struggled with the same 40 lbs since I was 20. Best results I had were with Keto, but, I found it impossible to sustain over time and unrealistic. I gained it all back, just like every other diet.
I feel like I have the knowledge after listening to Gin's books to forever change that. THIS, I can do. I am currently fasting 3 times a week, it takes Zero effort, I feel fine, and I am losing at a rate of 3 lbs per week.
Based on my age and "stubborn body" I do not eat Monday, Wed, or Fri. That fits with my schedule. Tuesday, Thur, Sat and Sunday I eat Anything I want and I am still dropping my weight constantly.
The book is down to earth, was an enjoyable listen and helped me get over my "fear" of fasting. I started with 18 hours, then 24, then 36, today I am doing 44, I only planned for 40, but I feel great, and I'm sticking with it a bit longer than planned.
It works. When I reach my goal weight, I will still fast 1- 2 times every week for the health benefits, and to maintain.
If you are on the fence, and you have weight to lose, 100% get this book. It is manageable, no need for insane diets, and it Works. You can do it!

Gin”s well researched, no nonsense approach to timed eating will help you understand how to improve your health while also losing weight using various approaches to intermittent fasting. It’s an easy listen with practical advice by an author who draws on her own dieting experiences and is highly likable and relatable. I highly recommend as an audiobook to listen to more than once, but might also invest in the hard copy - it’s that good. Fast on!
