Denise is just a 28 year old human yet she knows all about the supernatural world since her husband was killed by vampires the year before and her best friend is a 1/2 vampire. (Ok honestly I liked that this book started right away but I was also a little thrown back, like maybe I missed a book before this that talked more about her best friend Cat or other things they referenced in this book)
Anyway when a demon starts killing off everyone in her bloodline because of a relative who backed out on his end of a deal she has to go looking or everyone she loves dies.
When her best friend Cat didn’t answer when she called and rather got ahold Cat’s vampire friend Spade, the two of them end up working together & falling in love with each other.
This book played by different rules then I’m use to when it comes to vampires and some other supernaturals but it was fun and interesting. The romance was cute the book had a little spice.
Story was good but the accents were horrible!
