First Eruption

Alvinoria - K’Tara’s most powerful kingdom - begins to unravel.

The enemy continues to hide behind its K’Taran agents, striking across the land and infiltrating religious, political, and military institutions to weaken the kingdom from within.

The Black Guard’s early victory against the gnarlers provides some encouragement but this is tempered by the discovery that the creatures may not be what they seemed to be. Meanwhile, Prince Toras must find new ways to train his men against the Serpent, which is sure to strike again soon, and he must do so under the watchful eye of Laiella Lux Baiula - his newly appointed first officer.

The Royal Guard continues to prepare for the expected invasion. The High Prince’s and High Captain’s unveiling of the newly reconstituted furan-mounted force is blighted by repeated assassination attempts against the High King.

Octavius’s optimism weakens as his own body begins to betray him, he is forced to accept unpalatable changes within his court, and he makes difficult decisions concerning his family. Meanwhile, the Sisterhood struggles to keep to its principles in the face of a reality, which demands new rules and new methods.

First Eruption will be an audiobook of revelation about some of the protagonists and of evolution for some others. Doubt, fear, disgust, despair, adventure, and hope will visit our heroes as the enemy advances.
