À propos de cet audio

One woman learns the secrets of the five Jaeger brothers in the new romance from New York Times bestselling author Penelope Douglas.

On the other side of town, in the dark glades, under the rain…

Macon is the oldest. Thirty-one. Ex-Marine. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile.

Army is twenty-eight. A single dad with the most beautiful green eyes. He has no idea who he is, if not a Jaeger brother.

Iron will be in prison soon. You’d never think it to meet him. He’s a nice guy, actually. But he can’t stop reacting to everything.

Dallas is the one I hate. Twenty-one, cruel, and selfish. He takes and then throws away whatever’s left.

And Trace is mine. Or he was for about two seconds. No one can tame him for long.

Not that I ever wanted to. It was fun, but now I need to go home. Back to my side of the tracks. Away from the swamps and these men. To my parents’ big house. On my clean street. Where I’m never dirty or messy or hot. And I will. I’ll leave first thing tomorrow morning. I just want to crash on the couch tonight.

Their house is dark and quiet, everyone else is asleep. Except for one. He sees me crying and comes at me from behind. I let him wrap his arms around my body and hold me tightly. His breath is on my neck, his fingers are in my hair, and he doesn’t stop there.

I don’t think it was Trace.

This book left me wanting more, I want to know what happens next with all of them.

Having different actors for each character was great.

They could have done an actual “duet” narration. Struggling with women voices being the men lines and vis versa. Took away from the intense moments of the novel. Would have made this audible 1000x better.

Narration was a struggle.

I love all Penelope Douglas book and this was a mix of credence and birthday girl but oh my god, the way the female voice actor says table literally drove me insane. Table, pillow, and a few other words are pronounced the same way my 3 year old does

WHY DOES SHE SAY TABLE LIKE “tay-bowl”

It was a little cringy at times and difficult to get through. Narration was ok but the F voice playing a man was pretty bad. Spicy scenes were detailed and HOT. I wanted to see more possession.

It was OK

I thought this was a well written story. It’s a little predictable and some of the scenes are far fetched. But the spice is spicy and the characters are endearing. I hope Penelope writes Dallas’s story down one day! I want to know more about that little psycho. If he is anything like Damon Torrence I am hooked.

I really want to see what happens to Dallas

I really liked how each of the Jaeger characters were fleshed out in this story. In Tryst Six, only Liv really had depth, while her brothers were hard to distinguish between and were all kind of stereotypes. This story gave each brother his moment to be fun, reckless, loving, and raw. When Iron went to jail, it hurt. When Macon reached his breaking point, and was granted a reprieve by a call from jail from his brother, I cried. There was so much love in that family, but they were all so broken. Therapy guys. Seriously. Krisjen (the worst spelling of a fmc’s name ever), starts the book as a somewhat unlikable character. She says one thing and does the opposite, she flaky and has no direction. But as time passes, through her interactions with each brother, and even just having more confidence to ask for what she wants, she becomes free. She brings light and laughter and music back into their house. The fact that they know that only one of them will be able to keep her, but they’re just happy to have her as part of their family, is a testament to the impact her compassion and ability to be a listening ear made on all of them. It definitely felt a bit like Penelope Douglas’ book Credence, but this time she’d pick Jake instead.
