Not Flashy
I downloaded this by mistake. The author lacks the ability and originality of George Macdonald Fraser to make Flashman a cowardly but likeable rogue in a historical action setting.

FLASHMAN PURISTS, This is pretty good!
I grew up on George MacDonald Fraser's Flashman. I accidentally downloaded this NON-GMF book. Disappointed that this "copycat" could not be as good, I eventually listened to it. I was pleasantly surprised. Actually, chagrined at myself that I had avoided this non-GMF author for so long. The stories (as I have now read or listened to others) show a subtler (&, to my {old soldier's mind} and more identifiable character with all the historically accurate interweaving of the original Flash.
