Unexpectedly Incredible
Instant Fan right here. I was skeptical of the absurd premise but holy cow the authors did it right. I never read a fantasy type book that seemed so real and believable. It was epic. It was action packed. I'm in for whatever else happens in the Ruin.

Fantasy X modern day warriors
I'm really enjoying this book love having modern warriors in a fantasy setting, and it's a nice change of pace from the galaxy's edge series. Although it's not withouts some faults.
For one the protagonist goes into a lot of details and tangents, so much so that you forget what they are originally talking about a lot of the time.
Two, I think the production/recording could have been better. Near the middle of the book you can clearly tell between different recording sessions, a recorded sentence or even a word that sounds out of place. Sometimes this happens in the middle of a characters speech which makes the character sound like 2 separate people.
Overall though I am really enjoying this book and I can't wait for the next couple books in the series

Bought on a whim, Loved it.
Bought this on a whim, I have read/listened to a few of this authors books. But wow I did not expect to enjoy the story as much as I did. Who knew putting modern day Rangers into a realistic setting of a Fantasy story in line with other fantasy epics would turn out so amazingly. I was honestly disapointed when the book ended. So many great storylines to carry forward. I can't wait for the sequel. Which thankfullly comes out on kindle in April. Totally recommend this to anyone. I have already gotten two fantasy enjoying friends to start reading it.

Unrelenting Awesomeness
Tolkien meets modern combat. I have been hunting for a story like this for so long!! Convinced one or both of the authors served with the Rangers. Captured and authentic feel so naturally. Would definitely recommend!

A perfect mix
I enjoy this story so much. It’s a perfect mix of hard hitting military fiction with that beautiful, nerdy fantasy, and the narrator does a top notch job describing scenery and bringing life to characters. Definitely a series I’ll be following

Great story, at times too much side barring.
The story was good, the action good unless Talker goes off on a tangent right in the middle of the action. That is frustrating for the reader, and made me skip through a lot of it.

1 big issue with the begging but goes away after
there is a point where a import order is given and the writer spends about 2 hours writing around that event, after that the book reads normal and great was worth wild getting threw that part. love military vs fastany.
