IMO This was definitely the weakest book of the series. Part of that might have been the reading, it sounded very mechanical to me and I didn't enjoy it. Regardless of that the storylone felt like it was being extended for no reason and (without giving away spoilers) really didn't get interesting until 3/4 of the way in. At one point I checked to make sure that this title was actually written by Asimov and wasn't completed after he passed.

This is just a fantastic book, with great adventures. The appearance at the end, of Asimov's most endearing and enduring character comes as a total surprise. I won't tell you who it is, find out for yourself.

Amazing End to the series

Wonderful story, it ties so many Asimov's ideas together. Unlike other Asimov's books on Audible, the performance was awful.

Narration will put you to sleep

I owned 300+ audiobook. Only one or two could be as bad as this one (for the reader). Definitely no book was worse than this re-quality of recording. But the story, it's just wow. I wished audible paid more attention to this matters.

I like this series, but the narrator for this book is very stiff and almost robotic. Quite apt in some ways ...

Bland narration is a lot more tolerable when sped up. Feels a bit like Asimov is writing for word count.

I loved loved loved the Foundation saga! Each book had it's own charm and hooks. I enjoyed Foundation and Earth end to end with a satisfying ending. Admittedly the later Foundation books are a little "far out" even for science fiction, but I enjoyed it because it kept you guessing.

The narration was awful though - I had listen at a higher speed just to speed him up and get through it all. What a shame considering how wonderful Scott Brick was in all the other Foundation books.

None the less, if you have read/listened to the other 4 Foundation books, then do you really have a choice? You have gotta finish it!

As others have pointed out, if you speed up the narration the listen is tolerable.
Loved this addition to the foundation series.
Definitely a lot more horny than past books, but that’s where Asimov was at in his old age.
Can’t recommend adjusting the speed enough.
