Loved the story but the narration was horrible
It was so hard to get into it, even though I loved the story. She literally sounds like a child and so does Xaden. It sounds like she’s stuffed up and the constant mouth noises bother me lol also the voices and tones are so inconsistent, and it’s hard to tell who’s talking or if it’s an internal monologue or was said outloud. Not to be rude but I really hope it’s better for the second book.

A must read
This book was fresh, exciting, and always had a new twist around the corner. A must read for fantasy romance. It has a great story, Slow burn, Hilarious interactions, Great sex scenes. And an ending that brought me to tears. I am eagerly awaiting the next book. Might not even wait for the audio book and just read the physical copy.
The woman who performed the book did sound like she was working through a cold. It was unfortunate but you can def hear her clearing her throat and it is clear where she stopped and started again as her voice is a completely different tone or pitch.
Even with the performance being a bit lacking the book was still amazing and I would not let the comments about the performance put you off. It is well worth the listen.

Fantastic Book, narrator was sick
This book gave me all the things I wanted. Enemy-to-lovers, dragons... what more could you want?
The only downside for me was the narrator. If I didn't enjoy the book as much as I did, I would have returned it. It was very obvious that she was sick and kept sniffling and was congested so bad in parts of it, I actually thought it was 2 different people.

Great book, wrong narrator.
I really enjoyed this book. It had all the elements I love, great plot, and characters. But, this is the wrong narrator. She clearly had a cold or something the first 50%, but despite that, I just really didn't care for her style. hoping they choose someone more mature sounding for book 2.

Great World Bulding
Got recommended this book and was very happy with the world building! It has a really intriguing story and has a Harry potter meets GOT kinda vibe. Very much looking forward to the next book!

Here for the twists.
I could not stop listening to this book, the twists and turns were such a treat. HIGHLY recommend… it’s as if Divergent meets Throne of Glass.
