Written by a young woman living with anxiety and PTSD from traumatic situations that no one should ever have to endure, this collection includes 80 heartfelt poems that traverse the landscapes of grief from loss of loved ones and loss of self, the toll of surviving sexual assault in romantic relationships, and finding the courage to fight back against abusers with ink on a page—interspersed with the beauty and refuge that only nature and enduring love can provide.
Originally composed as an unpublished collection to silently cope, years of quiet reflection have led to a decision to bravely share this deeply personal poetry with the intention of helping other survivors—and those who love them—feel seen, heard, understood, and less alone.
The poems in Fragile Heart may make you cry, but they will also bring you peace and even make you smile as you ride the waves of beautiful chaos with someone who outlived the darkness and now stands on the other side, shining in the light, inviting you in.
