À propos de cet audio
Abandoned but not helpless, Destiny is a fighter.
With her oversized hoodie and unwashed body, Destiny puts up walls to keep people out. Her teacher becomes alarmed when she discovers Destiny begging for food at a restaurant. Social Services steps in and takes Destiny to live with grandparents she didn’t know she had. But Destiny discovers that blood isn’t always thicker than water.
Destiny moves to a caring foster home where she begins to feel accepted. Her world is ripped apart again when she is suddenly removed from the home and people who love her.
Is Destiny going to become some nameless statistic in the foster care system, or will she find a forever family?

©2020 Melissa Tarantino (P)2021 Melissa TarantinoBut the real jackpot of this book is the narrator. Listening to the same voice for six to ten hours can sometimes prove tedious or start to sound repetitive. But, Julie McCarthy's voice is like a song. Both my daughter and I easily relaxed into Ms. McCarthy's talent for telling a story. She uses different voices and by doing so, the characters come alive. At the conclusion of this audiobook, I immediately searched McCarthy's list of narrated books. We are looking forward to diving into 'Alora' next. Thank you, Ms. Tarantino for your beautiful story that tugged at our heartstrings and thank you, Ms. McCarthy for truly bringing those characters to life.
Wonderful story, BEAUTIFULLY narrated!!
