À propos de cet audio

A Warhammer 40,000 Audiobook

For too long the Emperor’s Children have been denied their birthright. Their once-glorious Legion has been fractured into disparate warbands, condemned to ravage world after futile world in the pursuit of ambition and excess. But no longer.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Fulgrim has a simple job for his sons, but what happens when it turns out to be far more complicated than it seems? Dive into the fractious nature of the Emperor's Children when things aren't quite going their way – rife with arrogance, internecine conflict, and divergent viewpoints.

THE STORY

Lord Fulgrim – ascended Primarch of the III Legion, the Perfect Son, the Emperor-in-Waiting – has issued a challenge to his scattered warriors: vanquish the Imperial world of Crucible, and bring him the head of the Black Templar charged with its defence.

But Fulgrim’s plans go far beyond the conquest of a single planet, and what should have been a swift and bloody offensive turns into a gruelling siege. With success uncertain, a world in flames around them, and the Legion turning their weapons inwards as well as out, the would-be champions are forced to confront a bitter truth. What must they sacrifice for victory and the favour of their Primarch, and what will be left of them when the war is over?

Voice acting

This is a very good book, good fight scenes, vivid descriptions of lots of things. The voice acting is spectacular, good range, good use of voice modifiers. Characters are memorable. However, whenever Fulgrim is in the book, he is described with legs, not a big snake rear end.

Spectacular voice acting

Going for it,
1) amazing voice acting
The bad
1) terrible story for EC and is not a black Templar book because they loose
2) where Fulgrim was expecting a story about him and how he now back from his 10000 year xxx party. And all you get is him killing his children, a single black Templar, and pitting his children against each other, all but the killing screen do really nothing for the story.

I would go lower but a lot of black Templar where killed and with them get wiped out always beings a smile to my face.

Where is Fulgrim?

Should have been called something along the lines of "The Children & The Champion". It's an alright read however it's mostly bolter porn.

Not a lot of Fulgrim

just like the red angel book of Angron, this story revolved around a warlord seeking to be Fulgrim's champion.

Don't get me wrong, it's a better story than the Angron book. I find it odd that the loyalist primarch books have the story revolving around them, yet traitor primarchs are made as a side note in their own books.

the other issue I have is that every book I've listened to so far that has an imperial guard regiment in it is always Cadian regiment. How many survived the fall of Cadia?

Fulgrim is barely in this story.

Unfortunately this book really was not about fulgrim.
His appearances were brief. no real insights to the character.
The bits of emperors children we get are between alright and good. There are a few stand out scenes. But it feels like most of the fan favorite elements of the EC are not well represented.
Our main character kind of sucks.

But the book seems more like a black templars book.

I would reccomend going and listening to Renegades, Lords of Excess instead.

perfectly disappointing.

Like many other 40k novel the subject of the book is a side character at best, no new info, nothing that stands out, nothing like the hh Fulgrim novel, don’t waste your money.

Not about Fulgrim
