Adam you are the Man!!!

This book covered most training philosophies.A book that is long overdue. In my life time I have competed in martial arts, marathon canoeing, lumber jack and a strength sport and many other sports and some at a world level. I wish I had this book when I was young.

Adam has a freeing spirit that makes you want try new things and become a cooler version of yourself!

Great inspirational book on exploring one movement capabilities

Informative

I found some parts repetitive which in some areas was helpful but others were just repetitive.
The narrator does an excellent job of putting across the various advantages and disadvantages of certain training types in ways that are very helpful and kept my attention.
There are some parts of the book that would be better to read and see diagrams or drawings. But overall I found it a good book to listen to and go off to assess some of the practices.

A must-read

Adam presents a level-headed approach to training that incorporates ideas and scientific research from multiple disciplines. He also maintains a level of flexibility that gives the reader freedom to choose what ideas they want to use based on their goals.

Amazing thought provoking book

A comprehensive book covering many different training modalities including training our brain with practical solutions for implementation . Loved this book ! Thank you Adam for passing on your amazing knowledge, I am definitely going to listen again as there is so much to digest. 1 little bit of feedback is your narrative is very fast I had to slow the speed down a little to be able to take it all in. The most training advice for your dollar

Those familiar with The Bioneer YouTube channel, will find more of the same type of content here. That’s not a bad thing. In the realm of fitness YouTubers, The Bioneer (aka Adam Sinicki) gives you all the fitness, physiological, and reasoned approaches to strength and cardio training you could need. What he lacks in polish on his videos compared to flashier peers, he brings more knowledge and breath on the topics.

This book is an compendium of several aspects of training to consider such as mental exercise, flexibility, muscularity, endurance, and various examples of extraordinary individuals in the past who show what humans can do if they push past assumed limitations.

This is not so much an exercise guide as food for thought on how to take your training to the next level and become almost superhuman. Sinicki examines bodybuilders, free divers, marathon runners, and gives the merits of those specializations while also offering critiques where they would fall short.

If you want a deeper fitness book that goes beyond “lift weights”, “run X miles a day”, or “eat chicken, broccoli, and rice”, try “Functional Training and Beyond”.

Great listen.

If there is one thing I can say about this audiobook is that it is a great listen with lots of detailed research and information from the author. It was also a blessing that the author himself narrates it. All sorts of information regarding function and mobility and ways of training I’ve never even seen or heard of. The Bioneer’s YouTube channel is also great. Easy 5 star for me.
