À propos de cet audio

A secret society leads to murder

The Gargoyle Club is a secret society in Oxford's Cardinal College, where privileged young men from important families get drunk and rowdy and cause trouble. Rafe, as a member of the club, is not impressed with these newest Gargoyles.

Meanwhile, a social-climbing high school friend of Lucy's is in town. Is she really after an art history degree, or is her purpose more devious?

When someone dies during a club dinner, it looks like more than boys behaving badly. It's up to Lucy and her undead knitters to solve the crime.

From a USA Today best-selling author. This is part of the Vampire Knitting Club series, but each book can be listened to as a stand-alone. These books are free of swearing and gore and packed full of quirky characters, magic, a touch of romance, and a lot of fun. Join the club today. Being undead not a requirement.

Great stories for my drive to work, I really enjoyed them I love how easy it is to listen to my favourite Witch.

Who doesn’t like a paranormal mystery!

So I really like the cast, characters, and just the series overall. With that being said, this book was a big miss.

In a book that’s relatively shorter than other audiobooks I listen to, easily 40%+ of it was filler content regurgitating previous books, sometimes literally the same word for word recap that’s used in other books.

While I appreciate that authors like to set the scene for anyone that might pick up the series with a random book, by book 10 most authors keep the recap pretty minimal, usually just to remind the reader of a character we haven’t seen for a while. Not this book. It painstakingly reintroduces readers to every single character, even the main cast, and repeats all their little quirks, sometimes multiple times.

All of this comes at the cost of actual character development, world development, etc. it was enough to turn me off the series. While I loved it, I don’t think I can bear listening to it all repeat once more. I honestly doubt I’d I’ll even re-listen, because I never got enough space between old plot points to miss them and want to return.

Soooo much filler content
