À propos de cet audio

Earth is initiated, and Alistair finds himself in a dangerous new world…

On a day like any other, an alien descends to Earth, unleashing untold death and destruction.

Alistair watches the live news footage of the carnage, his eyes glued to the image of impossible power made manifest.

The alien’s arrival kicks events into motion that no one could have predicted. Earth is prematurely initiated into a universe-spanning empire of cut-throat cultivators, beasts, and entities of ungodly power–all guided by a mysterious AI System.

The System’s first quest? Kill someone.

Amidst the chaos, Alistair must make a choice. Will he fight for the sake of power, or stand against the forces of evil?

His decision will alter the threads of destiny.

Separated from his family and friends, Alistair must find his way through a new world where power is obtained through conflict–and cultivation leads to the insurmountable Peak.

Whatever it takes, he will secure his own path to eternity.

Dive into a cultivation story with LitRPG apocalypse elements, including classes, skills, monster waves, and a progression system full of secrets and possibilities. Perfect for fans of Defiance of the Fall and The Primal Hunter!

Honestly I thoroughly enjoyed this one, and I have several Lit rpgs in my library.

Can't wait to see what happens next.

Hooked from the beginning.

This book was great. It starts small the first few chapter and consistently grows in scale from there. It makes it super interesting. You get to follow an interesting MC that doesn’t start OP and I’d say that many characters are more powerful than him, which is how it should start IMHO. It keeps the MC somewhat grounded and human.

Now, while he may be the underdog, at times, or at least for now, his potential seems to be extreme. It finds the right balance between personal power and potential and teases out both separately. This was artfully done.

MC is a genuinely nice guy and he has good reason to be a somewhat moral character which keeps him relatable. It seems to me that this is what the author was going for, at least in book one.

From here, it seems like this series has a ton of growth potential and scale. The author has gone to some great pains to present the greater universe as very populated, with mind numbing large cities. This bodes well since many authors seem to forget this and even earth can feel under populated, this doesn’t seem to be an issue here and that’s awesome.

The pacing is fantastic, always something new, always growth for the MC to reach for and I am in love with the fact that there are no dungeons, but there seems to be the potential for significant beast waves and other fun challenges.

The scope and scale are what get me excited about this series, along with a likeable MC who is indeed very powerful and seems to have crazy potential.

Excellent narration of male and female voices, great audio quality. I can’t wait for the next one…which I’m starting right now.

Awesome start to what should be a fantastic series

It's fine. nothing special or original, but good if you're looking for a fix. Performance was fine except for one thing: the narrator pronounces "causality" as "casualty" and it drives me bonkers.

B+

This is my first review on anything ever, and I can confidently say if you've read: He who fights with monsters, and/or The mark of the fool. You will absolutely love this book! The story is incredible and easy to follow plus the addition of an insanely good voice actor makes this a solid 5/5.

far beyond my expectations

A treat for sure, Excellent take on the genre and a nice mix of various elements of these types of stories. Very well written and great narration, Daniel Wisniewski is no Travis Baldree but he has an excellent voice and is one of the better narrators around. Although he does need to learn how to pronounce causality lol. All in all I loved it.

Definitely went beyond expectations

The combination of the author's writing and the sonorous voice of the narrator is fucking delightful. Couldn't stop listening. Can't wait for the next one.

Badass
