Competent Scene-by-Scene Reconstructions
I disagree with other reviewers that this recording offers anything more than exact replications of the film iterations. There are a couple of inconsequential extra scenes and some character background elements.. but they're amateurish (a highschool English student could do similar work). Rather, Richard Mueller ('Ghostbusters') and Ed Naha ('Ghostbusters II') take the film screenplays and essentially copy them - word for word - while describing *exactly* what was portrayed on the screen.
But honestly? That's fair.
It's precisely what I was expecting when I downloaded the audiobook. The descriptions are adequate - and that's good enough.
Fortuitously, Blackstone Audio enlisted Johnny Heller to read the books: His diction, timbre, cadence, and pacing are typically exemplary.. but Heller's naturally sarcastic tone is absolutely perfect for the text. True, the voice-acting is occasionally subpar, but this is a well above-average presentation.
If you can't spend the time in front of a screen (you're driving or at work or something), this 8.5/10 star interpretation of the movies is a more than acceptable replacement to occupy your time - you can see the scenes in your mind's-eye quite easily.
Getting the audiobook as a 'Plus' option is a genuine bonus.. because it would be worth a Credit if they asked for it. Can recommend.
[Incidentally: I had forgotten just how good 'Ghostbusters' is.. and just how execrably bad the sequel]

Fantastic
Love Ghostbusters. Phenomenal voice work. Both books together make a great package. The added details from the movie really fill out the story. Especially the homeless guys in the first one. Miss the joke about peck though. He's now spineless.....

Who you going to call?
Who you gonna call one of the best movies. I enjoyed listening to this audio book for all the extra little detail said we're up out of the movie I highly recommend it

Total fun
Even tho it’s a novelization of the films, this was a fun listen and I smiled or giggled multiple times
