Absolutely Awful
I am not sure if I have ever been more irritated by a book in my life. I couldn't wait for this to be over, and I can't believe I listened to the whole thing. This story tries wayyy to hard to make twists and turns, but every single twist was just plain stupid, implausible, and annoying.
Old friends from middle school are dying, apparently by suicide, one at a time. They all have a common thing in their past. They took part in brutally bullying a girl. The main character is now a child psychologist and she's getting worried about her old friends. Weird things start happening and she gets in touch with the old gang (the ones who are still alive), to try and figure out who's playing tricks.
The plot seemed interesting, but there are so many sub stories, twists, and stupid story lines, I found myself rolling my eyes and listening just to see how much worse it could get.
Glad this was free...

twists upon twists
loved it! It was riveting from the first sentence. The mystery and tension built until you thought you had figured it out only to pull you deeper. a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Incredible Read!
I couldn't put it down! Great unusual story, incredible narration by Cassandra Campbell, I highly recommend. I only read at night, and I sure had a few sleepless nights. Absolutely the best mystery plot to come by in a long time. Highly recommend. You won't regret.

"what's the worst that can happen?"
I was so sucked into this book. My days were spent taking my daughter places to play so I could sit and read.
I could relate as being semi-popluar in high school only to have my world change when I got pregnant my senior year. I related most to Courtney. Here I am 23 years after graduating, and still do not talk to anyone from high school. This book made me sit back and wonder how I treated others back then.
I personally live in a coal town in Pennsylvania. We have abandoned houses that the teenage kids venture into and do God knows what. Many run down housing areas that I will not venture near. And yes for some, the motto still is "shoot first". I think this story really touched home because although many reviewer said that this book isnt believable, it really is. I have seen through my oldest child who now is 20 how very clicky kids can be in this area. He has been grounded numerous times for visiting abandoned buildings and yes he has visited Lake homes with his friends over the weekends. I just certainly hope and pray he never did anything these girls did or the boys did from The Farmhouse.
Now to the main story. I enjoyed the characters and the twists. The characters to me were very believable and so were the series of events that were happening . The events surrounding social media we're very accurate and I don't believe people understand how easy it is to be someone else on Facebook or with the other social media chats.
I didnt figure out the ending and this book kept me on the edge until the very end. I will be looking for more books written by Avery Bishop.

Good story
This was a good quick read, not as predictable as you may think. Had a dood solid ending and kept my interest throughout. The small side story with the boyfriend was a dead end and could have easily been left out without affecting the storyline. Also could have developed the Grace/Elise backstory a bit more.

Good but....
Lots of reviews talked about the unexpected twist in the book but I’m afraid I didn’t think it was much of a twist at all. It was still a good book though.

Outstanding
Kept me on the edge of my chair. Very well told and plotted. Great character development, especially the flawed protagonist! Highly recommend.
