It is very well written. The plot flows at just the perfect pace, and the descriptions ignite the imagination.
The narration is also exceptional. You can feel each character's personality in the nuances of their speech. Noli, in particular, in her little octopus toy body, is especially adorable.
Speaking of which, the perspective of the world is worth a special mention. Our lead character is only a couple inches high, and you can feel that on every single page. It takes real talent to not only create a world, but to do so from that perspective.
Overall, I highly recommend this book. I know I'll be picking up the next installments!
