I was tempted to stop listening, as the first big chunk of the book is high school life. The main characters are 17, so it's safe to say this story is geared towards a younger audience. Later on, as secrets and mysteries develop, things becomes more interesting and magical.

Though the dialogue itself is quite good, the inflections for the rest of the narration can be quite annoying. Pushing past some lacking narration (and as I just said, the actual dialogue is good), I'm starting to really get into it.

I'm glad I gave this series a chance. The story is interesting and I'm excited to keep reading.
