Dive into the thoughts of a seasoned emergency veterinarian. I have been passionate about this topic for years and thrilled to finally share it with families around the world. I am pleased to submit to you a non-fiction children’s book, Goodbye for Now. I intend to offer this piece in English and Spanish, and watch it blossom into other languages thereafter.

This is not your typical children’s picture book. It has complex layers as follows:

The family going through a huge loss of their soon to be fallen K9 celebrates the life of a Brooklyn NYPD K9 Timoshenko. This canine does not only represent himself, but celebrates the life of fallen NYPD officer Russell Timoshenko.

The mom in the book foreshadows a loss of her own. She is expecting, although on the page she appears nine months pregnant, this depiction was after a miscarriage of her own as well as the arrival of the new addition. It signifies her strength to push forward as a mom and an integral piece of the family during a life changing event.

What makes this audiobook truly pop is the contribution of a family psychologist. A mom who set out to create her own telemedicine business during 2020 and has since grown exponentially from there.
