À propos de cet audio

Benjamin Carter Mason died last night. Maybe he threw himself off a bridge into Los Angeles Harbor, or maybe he burned to death in a house fire in San Pedro; it doesn't really matter. Today, Mason's starting a new life. He's back in boot camp, training for the only war left that matters a damn.

For years their spies have been coming to Earth, learning our weaknesses. Our governments knew, but they did nothing - the prospect was too awful, the costs too high - and now the horrifying and utterly inhuman Cray are laying waste to our cities. The human race is a heartbeat away from extinction. That is unless Mason and the other men and women of Task Force OMBRA can do anything about it.

This is a time for heroes. For killers. For Grunts.

Sci Fi?? Sort of! This is a rather depressing book. Do not read if you’re at all depressed! Even a bit. Almost half the damn book is so G** damn depressing I wanted to smash my tablet!! Ive simply never listened to anything so messed up. Bottom line, if you want to learn about children being killed, people who want to commit suicide and a play by play of wars already fought with a sidebar of the First World War then this talking book is for you! The only thing good about this book is the narrator. I like him. NOTE: I was able to down two Valium along with a large swig of scotch and continued on…..that was until I got to this sentence: “I walked towards a heap of bones much smaller than all the others, these were there children.” It gets worse…..I was beat and couldn’t listen any longer. In my opinion you can write about war and sci Fi without making it seem like a complete slaughterhouse. But some people may like this style of writing. This is only my opinion for what it’s worth.

Great….if you want to read about horrible combative experiences that almost make you sick.
