À propos de cet audio

Escape to the Gulf Coast of Florida with Georgia Carpenter as she gets a second chance at life, love, and happiness.

With a hurricane barreling toward Blackbird Beach, Georgia Carpenter is faced with new problems and the need to work faster than ever. The last thing she needs is more damage to the inn, but she can’t control nature.

What she can control is how the people around her weather that storm. In a bid to protect those she loves, she pulls them all close, opening her new home as a place of shelter.

Everything’s going fine, too, until the man she’s falling for, Travis Taylor, reveals he has a storm of his own going on. Will the changes in his life mean changes in Georgia’s too?

I still get a hallmark tv series vibe from this, except all the slow build up just doesn’t happen or bring any of the expected consequences that would come from all the attention it gets. All the build ups from the evil soon-to-be-husband from book one just disappeared. 4 books and still no divorce? 3 books with no mentions of the big bad wolf from book 1? Come on… everyone is showing up but him and he took so much space that it would’ve been expected.
And it’s similar with all of the other potential drama..a lot of time spent building to something that will be fixed just like by magic.
And there are other little things that bug me, like the 9-10yo behaving like a 5-6 one..and the narrators.
There’s 6 of them now. That’s a lot. And not all of them are good. I can never tell who’s talking during a Lily/Georgia conversation when Lili is narrating. If each main characters gets a narrator, why not do it like an audio play and have all of them speak all of their texts?

It’s free and I’m bored, so on to the next one.

Ok but ooooh soooo sloooow (potential “spoilers”)
