Everyone wants to know - Joey, Lieutenant McCafferty, reporter Gene Williker, Guy's ex-girlfriend Sugar O'Toole, the despicable Larry B. Larry, the dreamboat Scarlett Anderson, Mr. Kress of the FDA - and Guy faces them one by one, as he and Naomi pursue a dream of earning gazillions by selling a surefire method of dramatic weight loss. Garrison Keillor drags 1940s hard-boiled PI, Guy Noir, into the 21st Century to spoof both the genre and the world at large. Some of it is very funny and some of it is just kinda lame…but overall it’s good for a chuckle. This audible version is definitely a lot of fun with music and hijinks galore…but the joke definitely gets milked too hard.
