Well played... Genius undermining.
The narration does not serve what is already an over the top, extended gossip column. It sounds like a cheap facsimile of a Harlequin romance. Some solid direction and frankly, a re-cast, would go a long way towards tempering the salaciousness of the story and lending it some much-needed legitimacy.

The narrator is horrible. Couldn’t even finish. Monotone, no emotion. Hard to understand because there is no inflection. Would give 0 stars for performance if allowed.

Although I have great respect for any author who takes the time and effort to create a work worth publishing, I found the subject lacking any substance.

I cannot overstate how horrible this narration is. The actor’s voice is beautiful but her reading is beyond arch and extreme. The ENTIRE book is read like a salacious headline. Zero variation, subtlety or nuance - just read with venom. If the author has the power, re-record this! Almost unlistenable. The narrator needs acting lessons and coaching. It’s so poor - with endless words and names mispronounced that it had me wondering if it may be Ai. Who calls Anna Wintour “Tour”? Ugh. The writing itself is toothless, bitter, and has no objective value. It reads like a burn book. I regret buying it.

Did not like the narrator - I think it took away from the content, which was already quite dull. I had high expectations but didn’t feel this revealed anything new, shocking, salacious, or enlightening.
