Very interesting

An interesting and well-thought out book. Good start to the series.

Callie and Nix are brother and sister in a world where bio-mites have replaced the need for surgeries. However, the bio-mites continue to live in the body and continue to help heal any injury the person has. There are also bio-mites for other enhancements - getting rid of hair, losing weight, anything anyone could want.

The people with these bio-mites in their systems are monitored by Mother. If and when the bio-mites replicate and reach 50% - meaning, the people are half human and half machine, they are eliminated. Callie and Nix are Half-skins; their bodies 5o% bio-mites. And they are on the run from the government trying to shut them down.

The plot was good, the writing wonderful, and the narrator does a very good job.
