Holy crow this book had so much going on, it was so deep and the story was so powerfully written!
This is by far the best book of the series, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!
The background story is so heartbreaking and tragic but their love is so beautiful!
I’m sad this book is over but I’m happy to get to revisit these characters again!

Heart of Obsidian is (guiltily) my favorite psy-changling book. I actually own 3 separate copies of the physical book. Nalini Singh wrote a masterful dark romance that consumes the senses, and Angela Dawe clearly poured her heart into bring it to life.
Kaleb is so beautifully written. I swear he just comes to life in the mind. Sahara is just so easy to understand too. These two are a wonderful couple that are crafted to perfection. The trails and herdships they face will take your breath away, and you'll find yourself desperately on the edge of your seat to find out what happens next.
As for the over arching plot of the series, alot happens here. This book helps shape the changes that come in later books. Sahara and Kaleb's story is fundamental to your understanding of later books in the verse. You won't want to miss it.
