Neighbors that became family.
This was a very easy read with easy drama. I love that Tyler got exactly what he deserved in the end. Glad the main characters have eachother. A very HEA!

A Little Bit Lusty lol
Good Book...very good narration, especially on the hunky hero's voice and character. More lust than my Chistian ears ought to indulge; nonetheless, the book kept my attention throughout.

Lovely Family Story
I like the love story between Niomi and Tyler. Tyler is such a strong little boy. It was definitely the happy ending for the two and they deserve it.
I gave this book 5 stars because of how beautiful and real the story is and I can relate to it.

Female narrator didn't fit this book
I originally downloaded the book because of John Lane. He not only has a fantastically low, deep voice, he's a terrific voice actor too. The story wasn't terrible but the author has a bad habit of over narrating every single utterance of dialog. For example, "Hi!" 'Oh, man he's hot. I can't look him in the eyes. Oh no, what do I do? My stomach is jittery and my face is getting hot...' And on and on until: "I just moved in." 'Okay that was obvious. Why am I so nervous? Why is he staring at me like that? I will now dive deeper into my stream of consciousness for 2 more pages before I say anything more...' And on and on. It got really old, really fast. But the worst thing was Veronica Worthington, the female narrator. I felt like her voice didn't fit the character. She sounded too mature of what I believe the protagonist should've sounded like. And what really bothered me, what took me out of the story was her voice for Max. It sounded like her own voice! It's like she didn't even try to sound like a man! So when the story shifted to Max's POV and John Lane's deep, baritone voice came through, the disparity was too strong to try to ignore. I couldn't even finish it. It's too bad because I really like John Lane.

D’awwww
My very first book by this author and definitely not my last. I loved the single dad theme with a the thrilling side story. It lent to an audio that I couldn’t stop listening to.
John Lane and Veronica Worthington were excellent narrators. They became the characters and kept me engaged in the story with their tone and inflections, even when portraying the characters of opposite sex.

For honest review this is a beautiful story Naomi is a teacher who moved to Mayfair after a abuse ex and meets neighbors Tyler 6yrs old and Mack who work in security and was ex military . 10 stars

Painful writing great narrators
If you enjoy being told every tedious thought rather boring characters have over and over and over and over again this book might be for you. Mr. and Ms. Worthington did a great job with what they were given and I will seek them out for further listening but not this author.

Worst book ever
This book is horrible. You can tell this is a book that was transformed from a book that was probably released in England to a book that was released in the US. Who ever heard of coffee whistling? The author barely made the effort to change things so you're left with a book that is just cringe worthy.The author had no idea how thing work in the US. She didn't even know how the hospital system works here or that we don't have coffee that whistles. I'm not against book that are released in the UK or England but I don't know why they felt the need to change a few things to make it sound like the characters lived in the US. The whole book was just terrible even after you get past all the treble transformations.

I liked it!
It’s a nice story. It’s got romance, steamy bits, and suspense too. The narrators did a great job and I’d definitely love to listen to more from them. I really liked it and I’m going to look for more by Lara Swann!
