Then we headed into town. He held my hand and gazed at the ring I liked best, a smile spreading slowly over his face. Then a glass of bubbly to celebrate. I felt flushed, excited and ready for the rest of my life with the man I loved.

We race to get on the train home. It screams to a halt and I run towards its open doors. Made it.

I think he’s right behind me — but when I turn around, he’s gone.

Listen, personal preference, I know but I hate bad endings. The ending was terrible, and left me feeling sad and depressed. I wasted all that time waiting for Eve to have the happiness she deserved and justice only to be robbed.

Loved it from beginning to end. Got me hooked. The end is not what I was expecting but still it was a very good listen.

I usually go to the end of movies because I don’t want to be disappointed. With this book, I stuck to it thinking that our star would prevail. I felt she deserved a good outcome. But this ending for her was so disappointing. It left me feeling so depressed and sad. I’m not sure why the author chose to end it this way. This is fiction of course and I expect that with fiction at least, the good guy comes out on top. Or girl in this case. It would serve well to rewrite the end of this book. It should not end like this

I really enjoyed this audiobook. This is not a genre I would usually go for, but the story was engaging and the reader/narrators were excellent.

I would definately recommend this audiobook even if the genre isn't your thing.

Excellent performance

This book could honestly have been only 10 chapters long,but instead it dragged on and on i ended up skipping from chapter 8 to chapter 29 and didnt feel like I missed anything of the plot. The ending isn't the best it basically just drops with a cliffhanger with no resolution.

The narrator was good. The story was interesting. But the repetition was unnecessary. Good twist at the end. But poor Eve, vacant and shallow as she was, did not deserve that.

The performance was great. It was a bit longer than needed but I find most books that way. It kept me guessing until the end although I had an idea early on that played out differently than I thought however. I kind of understand the ending but would have rathered one that came fully to a 'written' end not a do it yourself as you like.

It drew me in.
