À propos de cet audio

Ofelia Archer is the top witch in New Orlean’s French Quarter, who also owns the premiere supernatural speakeasy in the state, and she’s not to be trifled with.

Zach Sully is one of the top detectives with the police department…and one of only a handful of law enforcement representatives in the city who is in on the big paranormal secret. Of course, as a panther-shifter, he’s part of that secret.

Together, they make a fearsome duo...who have to learn to trust one another if they’re going to keep the monsters in the Big Easy in check. It won’t be easy but they’re both up for the challenge.

New Orleans is a city that rarely sleeps. White magic rules supreme, but black magic is always looking for a foothold. Ophelia and Sully both have something to lose, but that spark between them also means they have something to gain.

They’re destined to be together. They just have to survive long enough to prove it.

This three-book omnibus includes: The Hexorcist, Witch Confidential, and Curse a Brew Streak.

I am hoping that somewhere within the 3 books that I have purchased to start a series that the lead female character becomes a little less whiny. This teenage act of trying to get her weight is a little infuriated bleeding. Overall, the story is okay, but the lead actresses. Poor poor pitiful me, attitude leaves something to be desired. Hopefully she gets a backbone and grows up

The leading lady needs to stop whining

I'm really enjoying this series so far and can't wait to listen to more of it. the characters are great!

Enjoyable!

Awful, awful, absolutely awful, narration. OMG, listening to this first novel of the series was so difficult I gave up before halfway. The narrator has no clue how to navigate the emotions, the inflections were missed, and she couldn't recognise a comma if it hit her in the face. Her voice is wooden, the storyline is choppy, and basically, this audiobook is a flop. She portrayed the main female character as a whining teenager and not a successful businesswoman. I'm certain there was flirtation between the male protagonist and the female lead but it doesn't come out with the narration. This novel was destroyed by the poor narration.

Since I gave up, due to the voice actress, I will have to read the book to provide a review of the storyline.

EDITED TO ADD:

I read the novel and I was correct the first time. infantile storyline, errors in police procedure and behaviour, main character an airhead who believes she knows everything, and teenage theatrics for a person in her later twenties, who whines, is inexcusable. So this audible production failed on two counts - torturous narration and a poorly scripted novel that desperately required a competent editor.... or a large garbage can.

A complete and utter waste of time
