The DCI Ryan stories are entertaining, but not outstanding. The Audible versions suffer mostly from a narrator that can't do female voices. This particular book's, High Force, audible recording is poor - so you can't really listen to it with anything but ear buds. the volume is set so low, that even on high you can barely hear it. it's ruined this particular book for me. Some quality control is needed at Audible.
