But those who happen to be low-opped live crowded in warrens, facing harsh lives and brutal conditions.

Daniel Movius, ex-senior liaitor, rides high in the opinion polls - until he loses everything, brushed aside by a very powerful man. Low-opped and abandoned, Movius finds himself fighting for survival in the city's underworld. There, the opinion of the masses is clear: It is time for a revolution against the corrupt superprivileged - and every revolution needs a leader.

Narrator was masterful. Story was quick paced and ending was sufficiently satisfying. (3 more words)

This story was certainly interesting, and the narrator was excellent. As with a lot of Herbert’s work, though, the style was a bit convoluted, and I found the plot somewhat difficult to grasp. I think the book might be better delivered in physical form, where it could be read (and parts be re-read) at one’s own pace.

Started reading Herbert’s books a long time ago, but somehow missed this.
