Description

Vampire King Arthur Assembles a Harem

This novel wasn't what I was expecting, given the description. While it is an interesting take on Arthurian legends, if you're hoping for much more than that, you will be sadly disappointed.

While there are a lot of actions scenes, with swords, monsters and magic, the novel is perhaps too fast-paced and suffers for it. It lacks much in description, nuance and world-building, as well as any kind of moralistic discussions or introspection. The characters are flat and one-dimensional, and Arthur, in particular, is annoying and almost always horny.

That's right, horny. "Arthur forms his coven" means that he gathers a harem of magically gifted women who are all devoted to him and aren't jealous of each other in the slightest. Then he has sex with them, together. The frequent sex scenes started to become annoying, as they are entirely lackluster and boring, despite the addition of each new sexually charged, flat character. The author also relies entirely too much on the words "c*ck" and "p*ssy", sometimes several times in the same sentence.

All in all, I don't recommend this novel at all. I disliked it so much that I wrote my first Audible review, despite being a member for years. There are better fantasy novels, better vampire novels and better smut books out there. Don't bother with this title.
