Read all three books in series. This was my least favorite. I found Lyra very tiresome. Seriously, they fall in love at 12 years old!! Also, there is absolutely no need for the music at the beginning of every chapter. It was extremely annoying. No need for the quotes either. I read this series because of reviews but don't see what all the fuss is about. It was just okay, not great. There are many other series books that I have enjoyed much, much more.
