Creator, mother, lover, and social media phenomenon Tova Leigh explores what the hell you are supposed to do when you find yourself living a life you don't remember signing up for. I was bored, angry, tired, and sad. I felt all alone yet I had nothing to complain about. I had a good job, a husband who wasn't shagging his assistant, three children who apart from being the occasional a**holes were pretty good kids; a house, a dog, and everything else we are told as little girls we should aspire to. But inside, I was growing restless.

Description
Delivering inspiration and "parenting comedy at its finest" (The Huffington Post), here is one woman's story of ditching her fairy-tale dreams and falling in love with her unpredictable, chaotic, imperfect life.
Kristina Kuzmic has made herself a household name, speaking directly to mothers from the trenches of parenthood via her viral videos and social media presence. She is now bringing her message of self-acceptance, resilience, and joy to audiobook listeners. With a refreshingly unpretentious, funny, and galvanizing voice, Kuzmic goes behind the scenes to reveal how she went from broke and defeated to unshakably grounded and brimming with thankfulness.
Illuminating the hard-won wisdom from a life always spent one step behind - whether it was as a high school student new to America, a suddenly single mother to two kids, remarried and juggling two teens and a toddler, or the unexpected recipient of Oprah's attention and investment - Hold On, But Don't Hold Still is the audiobook every mother needs to reassure her that she's not only fine just as she is, but that she already has more tools and support than she can possibly imagine. Sparkling with wit, this heartfelt memoir is like a long coffee date with a best friend, or the 11th-hour text message that gives you just the boost you need to get through the night.

Everything I had hoped for
This book was the perfect combination of laughter and tears. It was like spending time talking about the deep stuff with a friend. I am thankful I bought it on Audible because Kristina is so real when she reads it. I would occasionally smile and finish her sentences. At one point I feel like she was crying. Overall, this book is everything a fan of Kristina could hope for.

Well worth the listen. Very relatable!
Although much of what Kristina shares may seem like common sense to some, it never hurt to have a friendly reminder or support amid the chaos of life! Also refreshing to hear her take on some ways she instills inspiration, kindness, forgiveness, love, and life in general with her kids.

A must read:authentic and funny
This book very gave me hope in my own capacity to not only change what isn't working but to see I am good enough. To take it one day at time and to be proud regardless of the difficult circumstances I am in because circumtance do and will change.
But at the end of the day I am going to be ok as a mother just the way I am .

Honest. Funny. Vulnerable. Beautiful
I loved this book I feel like it was one of the first, real, honest books on parenting. It doesn’t sugar coat things, and it talks about the challenges and hard stuff as well as the beautiful parts of being a parent. I liked the author’s sense of humour and she’s one of the best narrators I’ve ever heard.

Girl, This is It
For any readers like myself that listened to Rachel Holli's 'Girl, Wash Your Face' in hopes of finding that encouraging, invigorating "kick-in-the-butt" pep talk you've been looking for, but were instead subjected to completely superficial and totally unrelatable ramblings by the author -- THIS IS THE BOOK YOU WERE LOOKING FOR. While I could not relate at all to Hollis's nerves about meeting with her nutritionist for the first time, or starting an internship while having zero worries about financial obligations, I felt such immense sisterhood listening to Kuzmic talk about her struggles as a single mom just trying to get by. Listening to her read about her time waitressing while also trying to be there for her kids, and also not lose sight of herself, was something I think so many of us can relate to. She doesn't sugar coat her struggles and pretend that all she needed was a Pinterest-worthy catch-phrase to get her through. She had breakdowns and days where she just couldn't do it, but that didn't stop her from trying again the next day. I am so impressed by her humility, humor (which by the way, she's freakin' hilarious) and how she looks at the world and the perspective she has on her own life and the obstacles she has overcome. This was exactly what I needed to remind myself that life doesn't have to be one nightmare after another, that there can still be terrible days but that doesn't mean it won't end up okay. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone that needs a truly encouraging, up-lifting, feels-like-a-mam-bear-hug kind of read. You won't be disappointed.

Truth that is so needed ❤️
I love this book! I actually rewound in several parts just to let the words I needed to hear just sink in. I have a hard time letting go of my mistakes and I love how she talked about how we are HUMAN and can’t do everything perfectly and need to let go of the guilt of just being human! She speaks right from a heart of genuine love and desire to help others going through hards times like she herself did. ❤️ absolutely recommend this book!

Keeping it real away from the highlight reel
Honest talk about the highs and lows of one persons life that honestly I think any parent can relate to. We all haves successes and fails, nice to know we’re not alone in the trenches. This book is a s good as a good glass of wine paired with a box of your favorite chocolate....

not content I thought
I say there are a few bits of lovely bits of wisdom and I recognize that the author has experienced many struggles through out life and has worked very hard. unfortunately all I hear is me, I, me , I. Additionally I thought this would be about single motherhood vs. whatever the struggles of being famous and having a family.
