Description

....that is, the Tillermans and all supporting characters. Should be required reading. LOVE THIS SERIES!

Heartwarming, a Story that stays with you

I first read this book in the 80s as a preteen. Even at that age, I appreciated the obvious thought and care that went into the character development as so many books for young readers seem to be lacking in that area.
This book does move slowly but in a good way; it leaves time to let it soak in and appreciate the surroundings and the warmth that grows.

I was thrilled to find this in audio format; this is a story that has always been with me in the back of my mind since reading it that first time.

I needed a feel good book to listen to while I worked, but something that wasn't so deep that It would take me from my work. (It did, at a few points when I got teared up!)
The charming and genuine feel of the narration was the unexpected cherry on top....in addition to learning that this is the first book in 7 part SERIES! I never knew this. I can't wait to hear the rest!
