I love this book
I really, really enjoyed this brilliantly written book. The performance was so captivating and delivered beautifully, it felt like watching a movie. At many moments I felt as though the story was being relayed as poetry like Def Poetry Jam. I truly cannot say enough about the performance. Bravo!

Amazing
I loved everything about this book! The mixtures of black cultures and experiences made me feel seen. They dabbled into Nigerian food and customs, African American pop culture, police brutality, and more. I was excited about this read from start to finish and I love the way that we were represented. It was good
Really engaging and immersive story about college life. I felt like I could see and smell and hear the characters perfectly. It was the tiniest bit long winded but the skillful and creative description made up for that and carried me to the end.

An interesting read
To be honest, the book just wasn't my wavelength. It starts with building up characters by tearing others down, which I'm not a fan of, and it never really recovered from there for me
But it was generally well written, and I think will resonate with others more than myself

I love love this book!
I love this book so much! It was such an enjoyable listen. Loved the emphasis in the tone of the reader! (even though the long yoruba sentences were brutally murdered😂). I particularly enjoyed the detailed description of the various feelings the characters felt. I also loved that I could relate. Well done Bolu!!

An Enjoyable Read
I really enjoyed this book. It was light-hearted and funny. The characters were well written. They were either very likeable or dislikeable and had distinct personalities. I enjoyed watching the protagonist's character development and listening to her walk through her emotional healing step by step. I found myself laughing constantly throughout the book and was smiling right up to the very end. I enjoyed the writing style and will definitely be reading more from this author.
