I absolutely loved this one. All the rest were superb but I absolutely loved this one. Cannot wait for the next one.

Love this whole series and the detail with which Jodi Taylor approaches them. This book is no exception but for the slightly stereotypical black and arabic villains which I somehow found disappointing in an otherwise creative and unique universe. That bit felt like a bad TV cop show. The series doesn't usually talk about race but this one made me feel like perhaps it needs some variety in its discussion of it.I loved the Kingdom of kush however.

Zara Ramm is the perfect narrator for the St Mary’s Chronicles! This is my go-to series during these crappy times. It always entertains and makes me laugh.
