À propos de cet audio

New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr is beloved for her charming, romantic fiction. In this touching work, four women—all writers—come together after a painful loss. Recently deceased Gabby Marshall leaves behind a letter asking her friends to complete her unfinished manuscript. Taking vacations from their own lives, the ladies settle at Gabby’s home and get to work.

Maybe it was having a narrator other than Therese Plummer, but I found this a little different from Robyn Carr’s usual but delightful romance stories. Nonetheless I enjoyed both the story and the narrator. The latter, I felt was very talented in keeping the 4 women’s voices immediately distinct from each other. Particularly Beth’s voice always struck me as telling her whole life story in the resignation but also resilience that somehow came through in a single spoken word. I wondered if some of Sable’s experiences with fame, and Barbara Ann’s with publishing, came from Robyn Carr’s own life.
A satisfying listen well worth a credit.

A satisfying but different Robyn Carr book
