Amazing book, cried many times through out it just because it was filled with so many things i needed to hear. It made me feel A LOT LESS ALONE, and like I’m not crazy. Love Her voice ❤️ definitely will re-listen. Thank you.

I loved this book. Going into it, I expected to see more explicity about attachment styles (esp bc of her ig content) though I know she is no psychologist. However, seeing her story and seeing how she values the kindness of strangers is beautiful, and important when we live in such a apathetic-to-strangers society. I related a lot to how she talks about holidays, and queerness, and her delivery is like shes talking to you. When I was becoming an adult strangers had to fill the holes that my parents couldn't fill, raising myself but also being raised by tiny snippets of love where I could get it. Siblings aren't always enough and they shouldn't have to be. Seeing that she struggles but still chugs on is inspirational in a genuine connection way, not a clickbait self help by person who magically fixed it all with THESE 5 EASY STEPS self help kind of way (I love self help books, but so many are not by chronically mentally ill folks). I also cried when she said "10 years wont be long enough" near the end (you'll know what I mean when you read it).

She owns everything; all the hardships, all the pain. But somehow it all comes with optimism. Recommended for anyone in pain. Probably others too.
