Hard times come in many different forms and, sometimes, come crashing down on us in the guise of trauma, loss, failure, or disappointment. It is similar to riding the river. Sometimes, there are troubled waters.

When change comes to us in these ways, we often find ourselves having to start from the scratch. As if everything we have worked toward, invested in, or achieved is gone. We are left empty-handed, lost, alone, and broken.

As difficult as it may sound, we can have personal growth because of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
