I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Brent bring his characters to life. The story is engaging and the dialogue between the characters was pretty funny in spots, but the suspense is real.

Greatly enjoyed this novel and was blown away by Butts’ tale of the road for a comic albeit with darker turns than most runs. Looking forward to future reads by the author.

Already being a Brent Butt fan from his tv series and a few fortunate laughter filled witnessing his always hilarious stand up routines, I wasn’t sure how he would transition to author (and narrator) but I was happily surprised. The story was one I hated to shut down. I enjoyed this book a great deal. Well done!!!

I'm astonished at how much I enjoyed this book. I was skeptical going in because of my gratefully deep knowledge of Corner Gas.

Butt moves into darkish literature, with humour as occasional seasoning, not main ingredient, and he does it very well. I think "riveting" is a fair description of this book. If you are looking for a rollicking laugh fest you'll be disappointed. If you want a high stakes thriller with some weirdness you'll be richly rewarded.

One of the best credits I've spent on Audible.
