a fantastic story that does history and fiction justice
I have been waiting for a book on Julius Caesar that could balance history and fiction. While I would have liked this to be from his perspective I do like the way it was presented with multiple narrators including Caesar himself. I eagerly await for the next book in the series which based on his other works may be a trilogy (though I do not see how all of Caesars history can be crammed into a trilogy.) I would like this author to take his time and keep this same pace with the rest of the series. focusing on certain points in time keeps the book alive and the pacing steady. I would recommend this book to anyone with a love of history, Julius Caesar, Rome, or just a good damn read in general.
