Treasures – practical tools, values, ways, answers researched from some great scientists, neuroscientists, therapists, sociologists (all the ‘ists’) out there, that have genuinely led to a sense of freedom, joy, peace and physical recovery I never would have thought possible.

Life now, amazingly, with what I will share, is – SUCH FUN! (always important to quote your own catch phrases. . .) If you fancy having a read, then I hope my story might help your story. After all, we are in this beautiful, mysterious, challenging life together. Rest assured there are funny stories along the way – we will have a laugh too, my dear reader chum.

Oh, and I couldn’t possibly say if there is a love story in it . . . (There is – shush). Exciting.

It was a few years ago that I binge-watched several seasons of the long-running British TV series Call the Midwife, and Camilla “Chummy” Noakes (played my Miranda Hart) quickly became a character who felt like a friend. I purchased this book simply because I have loved the author's work in comedy. But now I am also sure that we're from the same tribe. I am also tall, athletic but slightly clumsy, and very sensitive, with a goofy, quirky sense of humour. I knew nothing about Miranda Hart’s health situation, though, and as it turns out, we share some similarities there too. The insights and coping skills she presents here come from a lot of hard experience, and a lot of research as well. These "treasures", as she calls them, are certainly things I will use; they hit me deeply and inspire me in a way nothing else ever has, because of how much I can identify with the author. Miranda Hart’s writing skills are evident, as are her skills in narration. I felt like I was sitting right next to a dear friend. I laughed, I cried, and I hope there's another book in her future.

A joyous book to listen to: full of humour, seriousness, and thought provoking life lessons. It completes the stories and experiences in her other two books, but can stand on its own as a full story. I always love listening to Miranda!
