While the writing is solid, while good character some development, the protagonist seems forced... He's supposed to be a reincarnated soul, with years of experience, but his ideas of good, evil, etc. comes across as ignorant nativity. Equating virtuosity with ignorance seems like a ridiculous and childish idea. It is unclear how Liam is so oblivious to so many things. Maybe this is just a cultural disconnect on my part. Is the writer a child, because the characters seem to rationalize like very ignorant children.

The concept is interesting, but flawed

If you love an overpowered MC that has Ambitions which are misconstrued by those around them this is a great book. The naivety of the MC makes sense in the context of the reborn characters background which was explained in the first book. While the MC has lived a previous life they did not live in an era of monarchs and as such has no context other than what was learned in the first book with how to run a Domain or have people take orders from them. I liked that the author toned down the number of sexy moments in the book compared to the first one though the moments that are included are well spaced and contextually make sense given the political, economic structures, and systems that have been developed. The character development is pretty solid given the shortness of the book. The book makes me think of The Eminence in Shadow in terms of the main character stumbling into green flag events that should have been red flag/death flag events. Definitely not a book that takes itself to seriously and really is better for it.
