A great book plagued by unlikable characters. The plot is very interesting and so unique that I’ve never read anything like it. But the main characters, I dislike all of them. Only a few side characters are okay. Still, quite a wild ride. The audio performance is good. Not great, but good.

It didnt really grab me. but its not really my style of book. I'm personally just nit much for magical realism like this unless it is exceptional.

I loved the story and the narrator is perfect. I loved everything about it!!! It is very long, and even still I never wanted it to end.

One of my new favourite books

Loved this book when I read it 20 years ago so I thought I'd give the audiobook a go. The story was even better than I remembered, however I wasn't overly fond of the narrator's made up voices for some of the characters. I suppose having read it previously I had already made up voices in my head...🤔 Nevertheless, I highly recommend it!

Let me be honest, growing up reading was never something I enjoyed…. Until one day I stumbled upon a book written by Clive Barker. That first book was “Weaveworld”, then after that I found myself looking into all of Clive Barker’s writings. Once I found this book I knew I found something special. I have actual read this book three times. Then I told my wife about it, she wasn’t sold, until she read it. Just like that it was her favourite book too! Another favourite of mine is Abarat…. What an adventure you partake in Barker’s captivating story’s. Truly a world unto its own. Peter :)

the story is fantastical and well written but it drags out to long and doesnt make alot of sense and has a somewhat underwhelming ending for such a long tale .

One of my all time favourites. I’ve read the book but the audio version is awesome. The narrator adds to the story and makes it a very enjoyable journey.
