Blinded by vengeance, Doug hadn’t really cared why an Imperial lord wanted to personally kill an outcast bar cook. He only saw the mutilated young woman as bait for his plan. Unfortunately, the locals did care. They saw the profane witch and an infamous Imperial traitor as the path to freedom.
