Description

The Adderhead - his immortality bound in a book by Meggie's father, Mo - has ordered his henchmen to plunder the villages. The peasants' only defense is a band of outlaws led by the Bluejay - Mo's fictitious double, whose identity he has reluctantly adopted. But the Book of Immortality is unraveling, and the Adderhead again fears the White Women of Death. To bring the renegade Bluejay back to repair the book, the Adderhead kidnaps all the children in the kingdom, dooming them to slavery in his silver mines unless Mo surrenders. Great book!

I really enjoyed this story, but I wish Brendan Fraser had continued his role as narrator. This narrator was fine, but he didn’t really do the voices so it was hard to recognize which character was speaking at times.

Non-stop action!

It’s very long! We enjoyed every moment of it and when it is over it’s very satisfying. My six year old loves it but it does have quite a bit of violence in it. It was unpredictable, witty and the performance was superb.

Well done overall

Farid's and Meggy's voice were gringy at first. But overall all other voices were well done and the story was suspenseful and enjoyable till the end

A little slow at times.

I found this book to be a little slow at times and a little confusing, what with all the characters and some of them having similar sounding names; but in the end I liked the story and how it ended.
